As a Pharmacy Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our pharmacy areas at all three hospital sites. You will be responsible for maintaining a sterile and orderly environment, which is essential for the safety of our patients and the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. This position involves traveling to each hospital site on a regular basis.
Main duties of the job
The Key Job Responsibilities will include and Perform cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sanitary pharmacy environment, including but not limited to:
1. Ensuring a tidy, clean and well maintained pharmacy environment.
2. Disinfecting countertops, shelves, and workspaces
3. Emptying rubbish
4. Sweeping and mopping floors
5. Hoovering
6. Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces
7. Restocking cleaning supplies as needed
8. Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of pathogens and ensure patient safety.
9. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritise areas requiring immediate attention.
10. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
11. Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
