Job Overview
The post holder will lead, develop and manage an integrated team of Senior Dietitians and Dietitians delivering dietetic and nutrition services to the Trusts adult Emergency & Specialist Medicine and Musculoskeletal & Specialist Surgery specialities in order to provide the highest standard and most effective patient care.
As an advanced specialist autonomous practitioner the post holder will provide clinical expertise in a specialist area of adult Brain Injury and Neuro Rehabilitation dietetic and nutrition care on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for transformation and continuous improvement of the adult Emergency & Specialist Medicine and Musculoskeletal & Specialist Surgery dietetic and nutrition service at clinical level, being accountable for service delivery, service development and have line management responsibility for the Senior Dietitians and Dietitians working in this area.
You will be specifically responsible for liaison and collaboration with the relevant Clinical Management Groups and specialities to facilitate an integrated, efficient, effective and responsive dietetic and nutrition service. You will need to focus on inpatient flow and discharge and patient safety areas such as nutrition and hydration linked to falls and HAPUs as part of the HARMs agenda.
You will be required to demonstrate that you have had previous line management experience and led on quality improvement and service developments.
