Pharmacy Clinical Trials - Administration & Clerical Officer

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a conscientious, enthusiastic and motivated person to provide clerical administrative support to the pharmacy clinical trials service at the University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL).

This role will be based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary; however the successful candidate may on occasion be required to work at other sites.

You will need to have completed a NVQ3 in Business Administration/Customer Services, RSA3 or have the equivalent experience to meet the criteria listed on the job specification.

Main duties of the job

This is an interesting and varied role and involves supporting the service through daily activities within the busy pharmacy clinical trials environment.

The successful candidate will need to show focus on attention to detail and have good communication and IT skills.

A confident courteous telephone manner is required as well as a willingness to learn new systems of work.

A Pharmacy Stock Management qualification is essential to perform duties outlined in the job description.

If you do not currently have this qualification but meet other criteria and you are the preferred candidate, as a requirement of taking the post, it will be mandatory that you complete this course within 6 to 9 months of being appointed. Training will be provided to support and develop you to complete the course to ensure you are able to fulfil all requirements of the role.

As part of this role you will be expected to show initiative, be able to work independently and at the same time be a good team player.

For workload to be managed and deadlines to be met, is is essential for you to demonstrate, that you are efficient and well organised.

You will also be required to be professional, demonstrate sensitivity and maintain confidentiality at all times.
