An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Band 7 Practice Radiographer to lead a Practice Educator Project to join .

We are seeking an experienced Radiographer who is dynamic and proactive with a substantial post graduate experience of effective supervision, clinical education and training, mentoring and training assessment skills within Radiotherapy with proven leadership skills. We can support your travel and and planned activity costs to effectively deliver this project.

With your passion for service development and expertise you will join us to deliver inclusive, high quality, effective and outcome focused activities for our expanding group of undergraduate and apprenticeships students.

Main duties of the job

Key goals:

1.Supporting common learning gaps across the region for students, apprentices, newly qualified and existing Therapeutic Radiographers (greatest need/benefit) 2.Create and evaluate a regional approach to learning gaps 3.Co-ordinate with existing PE's and attend open days/schools/colleges to promote the profession 4.Support the collation of feedback data from self attended and PE attended events General duties
  • To support excellent communication flow between Universities and EM trusts to ensure a seamless training process between the academic and clinical components.
  • To support student rosters with local teams and the university to ensure effective placement and maximising the clinical opportunities. This will be in line with University learning objectives per year group.
  • To work with the UHL student liaison staff and wider clinical educational team as required.
  • To encourage a learning culture amongst staff in the EM supporting and helping coordinate CPD based activities.
  • To work with the University based educators and meet both formally and informally as required
  • To understand Apprenticeship process and work with managers to identify opportunities
  • To ensure the quality of teaching in the clinical placement is evaluated, maintained and improved when required.
