This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join the Anaesthetic and Intensive Care teams based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital and Leicester General Hospital. Main duties of the job
Clinical
Clinical duties will include participation in an on call rota (either obstetrics, ICU or theatre) on a 1:8 resident basis (maximum shift duration of 12.5hrs).
The majority of normal working days will be dedicated to leadership and management activities (tailored to the individual).
Non-Clinical
Post holders may take on various projects whilst in the post but are expected to contribute to both the operational and strategic management of both the anaesthetic department as well as the "Working with Others" branch of the One NHS Finance programme. This may involve liaison with other specialities/professional groups. Projects will be determined by the fellow's interests and the department's needs. It is anticipated that work produced from these will be of a standard to present nationally.
