An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Clinical Pharmacists (1 x 37.5hrs / 1 x 18.75) to join our Pharmacy Clinical Trials team at UHL
The Pharmacy Clinical Trials service at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) is a key part of the clinical research multi-disciplinary team which aims to provide a safe and efficient service in the conduct of Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) studies across UHL's three sites. The Pharmacy Clinical Trials service is a friendly, varied and busy service with a portfolio of around 200 IMP studies.
You must have recent experience within a UK hospital pharmacy environment and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Previous clinical trial experience is desirable but not essential, as appropriate training and support will be provided.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will be expected to risk assess new protocols and help confirm capability and capacity in pharmacy to the research and development department.
You will be working closely with the teams of technicians and assistants, and manage members of the trials team. You will be responsible for the co-ordination and day to day support of commercial and non-commercially sponsored clinical trials and work closely with Clinical Management Groups and research teams based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary or Glenfield Hospital sites to facilitate excellent delivery of research within this area.
