Main duties of the job
-
To work collaboratively with both the Senior Physiotherapists and Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists working in the adult and paediatric respiratory specialities to support in delivery of the respiratory training.

To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education, training and development across the Physiotherapy workforce .

To work clinically alongside registered and non-registered Physiotherapy staff promoting and delivering education.

To lead on the development and implementation of external cardiorespiratory courses.

To lead on the cardiorespiratory physiotherapy simulation based education.

Assist with the planning, delivery, coordination of mandatory / statutory / induction and essential to role training for the Physiotherapy workforce.

Design and lead education and training programmes for the specialty to ensure all therapists within the specialty are complying with best evidence based practice.

Actively facilitate ongoing staff development and support through clinical supervision and act as a supervisor and mentor for the clinical area.

Support the Education and Practice Development Lead and Lead AHPs to carry out training needs analysis as required.
