The POAC Pathway Co-ordinator role is a newly developed role to support the digitalisation of the pre-assessment process and help the service deliver the newly implemented national requirements to the Elective Surgical Pathway.

Post holders must possess a wide range of experience and knowledge of clinical and organisational administrative duties.

This role is pivotal to the service functioning in a seamless efficient, effective manner and ensuring high quality standards to ensure patients safety for surgery.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the POAC Pathway Coordinator networks with so many different departments and staff within the Trust and outside agencies.

The Co-ordinator is often a point of contact for patients so patient care is paramount to delivering best possible service.

Main duties of the job

Working closely and as part of a team with nursing, administrative, medical and management staff, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day administration and coordination of clerical procedures and working practices within the service, in line with national requirements and CMG policies and guidelines.

  • GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent, ie NVQ
