Clinical Specialist Band 7Occupational TherapistMedicine Team - Leicester Royal Infirmary/Leicester General HospitalPermanent - 37.5 hours per week - Flexible working(Including weekends and bank holidays)We have an opportunity for Clinical Specialist Band 7 Occupational Therapist to bring their skills to our motivated and enthusiastic team. We are particularly seeking applicants who are team players, enjoy challenges and are dynamic in their approach. The Therapy Service has a high profile within the hospital and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to service developments.
Main duties of the job
YYou will be part of a friendly and supportive therapy service, with supervision and leadership responsibilities for the Occupational therapists in the team. Responsible for delivering assessments and treatments for patients on our acute medical wards that are based across site at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital. You will be working alongside medics, nurses, geriatricians, physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will demonstrate communication and time management skills, working within a large multidisciplinary team carrying out assessments and interventions to facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and reducing deconditioning. An extensive range of clinical skills and knowledge of a variety of conditions is essential for this role.
