Job summary
This is an exciting new post to provide specialist care to our patients who are discharged after a long stay on critical care across all 3 sites of our Trust.
You will be responsible for the provision of a specialist, high quality, effective dietetic and nutrition service for adult critical care step down and outreach patients. You will work as a core member of the MDT whilst also exercising a large degree of autonomy.
Our Critical Care Units provide care for patients including cardiac surgery including ECMO, trauma , gastro surgery, hepato biliary, renal, vascular, urology, medicine and orthopaedic care. This is an exciting time to join the team as critical care services are expanding . This is a great opportunity for you to develop this new role and improve patient outcomes after a long critical illness.
Main duties of the job
You will be a core and valued member of the adult Multi Disciplinary Teams, consisting of Consultants and Surgeons, Nurses, Pharmacists and Therapists. We are looking for a motivated, active team player, with excellent communication and audit skills . You will have a great opportunity to develop clinical leadership skills and gain further experience in critical dietetic care and complex nutritional support, anthropometry and service evaluation.
