Job summary

Are you an experienced MRI Superintendent looking to showcase your forward thinking and dynamic approach to Imaging services and patient care?

We are looking for a radiographer to join our senior managerial team at UHL. As a clinical leader you will possess excellent managerial skills to inform the optimal delivery of MRI Imaging across three major sites and future community Diagnostic centres.

Currently UHL has 10 MRI scanners and 11 CT scanners, there is also contractual management for 5 MRI vans and 2 CT with future projects underway.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be committed to providing a high quality Service

Main duties of the job

The duties and responsibilities of the post holder are to lead and develop the delivery of the Cross Sectional Imaging service alongside the CT modality Lead at all three of the main hospital sites of UHL. The post holder will work cooperatively with the Radiology Management Team and other staff in order to ensure that patients receive Imaging at its Best.

The post holder will be an experienced and skilled Radiographer who will use their clinical knowledge and experience to inform the optimal delivery of Cross Sectional Imaging and offer assistance to the Operational Lead/s in the delivery of a high standard of clinical care.

The post holder will be dynamic, innovative, forward thinking, and will contribute to service development. They will lead in clinical audit and clinical governance for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

The post holder will lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team including Radiology Department Assistants, Assistant Practitioners, Radiographers, and other Practitioners.

The post holder will provide support, guidance, and development to staff.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work and alterations in hours or times of work may be required from time to time and this will be done with consultation and negotiation. Some oncall and public holiday working will be required.
