Job summary
To provide financial and administrative support to ensure the efficient management of resources within the Hope Cancer Trials Centre and the timely processing of clinical trial amendments.
Main duties of the job
- Provide financial and administrative support to the HOPE Business Leads and Operations Director and where applicable the wider Study Support Set Up Team.
- Assist the HOPE Business Leads with the financial management of approximately 160 clinical trials generating an approximate annual income of £1.5m, from study opening to close down, requesting invoices, credit notes, dealing with any financial queries in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist with trial financial tracking spreadsheets for all new trials keeping accurate and up to date records at all times liaising with the HOPE clinical teams where appropriate.
- Responsible for managing patient travel expense requests, taxi invoicing, set up, amendment and archiving fee reimbursement, updating reports and ensuring timely and accurate reclaim from external partners.
- When required assist with the timely production of monthly/annual financial and adhoc reports.
- Where appropriate assist with review of non-pay costs such as internal diagnostic recharges.
- Create, amend and process official purchase orders as required.
- Ensure timely invoicing and reporting of income with prioritisation of tasks and a flexible approach to cope with urgent requests.
- Assist the study set-up team with the processing of trial amendments, ensuring that financial records are updated during the process.
