Job summary
To support the Support Worker Team Leader and the Emergency Floor teams in support of excellent care for patients and their carer's, by ensuring the right equipment is available at the right time and in the right place.
Your role will involve working within a team to provide a high quality service which offers a timely responsive and pro-active service for the movement of stock, materials equipment and occasional patients within the Emergency Department and Emergency Floor
Main duties of the job

To maintain at all times a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation and to assist in the maintenance of good hygiene practices within the department.

To observe confidentiality of patients and employing Trust's business at all times.

Maintain good relations with colleagues and other staff throughout locality.

Assist non clinically on the ward in whatever capacity is necessary to ensure patient safety, comfort and dignity.

A high standard of personal hygiene and presentation and demonstrate good hygiene practices.

Observe confidentiality of patients and employing trusts business at all times.

Act on own initiative and accept responsibility to ensure that the quality of work meets required quality and performance standards; often working without immediate supervision, must be able to prioritise own work load; and bring to management attention any issues which are adversely affecting service quality and performance.

Communicate and liaise effectively with Work Colleagues, Managers and with Clinical Teams accordance with Trust values.

To provide Support Worker cover, when there is an urgent service need i.e. due to sickness, and with adequate training, to the ED.

Having and maintaining good relationships and communications with the Customer Service Centre working together to provide a high quality service.

Any other duties as may be reasonably requested.
