Job summary

UHL is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our team of nurses and Health care assistants who work within Ward 11 Gynaecology outpatients and the Gynaecology Services unit (GSU) at LGH this is a busy, fast paced department dedicated for the use of women undergoing investigations and ambulatory Gynaecological procedures.

Experience in Gynaecology outpatients desired but not essential as all training including a full induction will be provided if successful at interview. We offer strong support for professional development to ensure you reach your full clinical potential.

Main duties of the job

This is a perfect opportunity for an innovative and dynamic nurse looking for their next career progression. The post holder will deputise for the ward manager and will support the leadership and management of the department with particular emphasis on quality and clinical standards. They will have continuing clinical responsibility for managing the wards/departments in the absence of the ward manager including: understanding finances, staff rosters, sickness and absence, delegation and supervision of staff and be visible and approachable for patients, staff and visitors.

As a Registered Nurse the post holder is expected to consistently act in accordance with the NMC Code you will be responsible for the delivery of consistently high standard of nursing care that meets the individual needs of our patients and those of the Trust.
