We have an exciting opportunity for staff nurses to join us at UHL at Ashton!
Applicants must already possess NMC UK PIN - unfortunately we cannot hire Pre-registered nurses
UHL at Ashton is based in the Ashton Care home in Hinckley with 24 ensuite bedrooms. This is a short stay facility utilized by University Hospitals of Leicester for patients that no longer require acute medical care in a hospital setting. The Nursing and Therapy team based at Ashton are trained to work with the patients to provide the best care and experience to enable a safe and timely discharge. There is a criteria for patients that are suitable for transfer to UHL at Ashton.
UHL at Ashton is currently a temporary area- all vacancies are permanent and an alternative would be sourced
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care to a group of patients.
- Assisting and contributing in the management and organization of a ward / clinical area.
- Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.
- Actively participate in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
- Act as a clinical and professional role model, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area.
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
