Job summary

If the answer is yes to these questions, We are looking for registered nurses to join our dedicated and highly profession team within Gastroenterology at University Hospitals Leicester.

Our team is made up of more than 17,000 staff providing a range of services primarily for the one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Ward 42 and Ward 43 at the Leicester Royal Infirmary site are 28 bedded wards providing high quality care to patients with Gastroenterology needs. We have Nutritional specialists including the Leicestershire Intestinal failure team (LIFTT), Hepatology and Luminal medical teams.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidence-based nursing care for a group of patients.Assist in and contribute to the management and organisation of a ward/clinical area.Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.Act as a clinical and professional role model, mentoring, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area.
