An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Childrens Daycare (CDCU) team. You will provide support to the clinical team and act as a support and resource for our service users.
CDCU is a nurse led unit providing care to children who require tests or ongoing treatment for a chronic illness
You will provide clinical and non-clinical support to the team under the direction and supervision of an appropriate registered healthcare professional.
Childrens Daycare Unit offers an excellent pathway to develop additional skills such as blood sampling , assisting in clinics and supporting paediatric surgery. You will be given appropriate training as part of your induction package and ongoing support.
You will work with a team of Nurses ,Health care Assistants, Phlebotomists and Administration staff . We take pride in caring for our regular patients as well as welcoming new patients . Caring for a variety of specialities makes Day Care a centre for new and exciting clinical opportunities. Day care possesses fantastic working relations with the wider team in the Children's Hospital.
Candidates will ideally have previous experience in caring for children
The role involves working daytime hours between the hours of 0800-1800. Some flexibility with working hours may be negotiated.
