Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer within the Pathology Department at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, ideally with previous project management experience, to support the delivery of the Pathology improvement programme.

The post holder will assist with project development, implementation and governance.

Applicants must have excellent communication and organisational skills, plus data analysis experience.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play an active role in the delivery of Pathology projects and work collaboratively with Pathology colleagues to embed sustainable change within the service.

Responsibility for supporting the General Manager in the delivery of a robust governance process to ensure that projects are delivered to agreed timescales and to the required quality standards.

  • Support implementation of projects, services, initiatives through timely and relevant information analysis and administrative support, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the Team.
  • Attend senior, complex meetings and accurately record discussions in concise, clear minutes.
  • Engage and work collaboratively with colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Assisting in producing and updating key documents (using full suite of Microsoft Office tools) including presentations, programme risk and issue logs, risk reports, progress reports, dependency logs and action logs.
  • Attending programme and team meetings, supporting forward agenda planning, coordinating contributions to papers, preparing papers and presentations, taking high-level minutes, tracking actions.
  • Providing high quality support to the Pathology General Manager to ensure that the tasks and activities are planned, managed and delivered effectively.
  • Being flexible and supporting the programme teams as and when required with ad hoc requests and additional duties
  • Ensure that change management is supported effectively by working with relevant programme teams and key stakeholders within the business.
