TrustMed Pharmacy (TMP) are looking to recruit a Superintendent Pharmacist/Managing Director with significant managerial and leadership experience for the outpatient pharmacy subsidiary within Leicester Hospitals.

As a Superintendent Pharmacist you will provide direction and management to the outpatient pharmacy team for the delivery of pharmacy services across each site.

You will be accountable for governance and the delivery of pharmacy services in accordance with an agreed annual business plan; ensuring the Board of Directors receive regular updates relating to current service provisions, patient care and business opportunities.

This an exciting time to join TMP and to help influence and shape the company's future as the service currently looks to combine purpose-built facilities with the latest technology to improve the quality of services to our patients.

There will be plenty of room to grow in the role with a development plan in place to enable you to fulfil the role of the Managing Director of the subsidiary in the future.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a patient-centred, compassionate leader with commercial acumen dedicated to providing clinical leadership to a team of over 50 staff. The ideal candidate will be experienced within a busy community pharmacy environment with high volume, be willing to learn and develop others, have attention to detail and exhibit excellent team leadership skills.

About us

TrustMed Pharmacy is the outpatient pharmacy (a wholly owned subsidiary company of University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL)), established in April 2017, providing high quality outpatient pharmacy services to patients at each of the three main hospital sites within Leicester and looking to expand its services further.

We provide outpatient pharmacy services to various clinical areas within Leicester Hospitals including cancer, paediatrics, renal, cardiology, respiratory and much more.
