Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conflict Management Trainer to join our friendly team within UHL.We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic.

You will be responsible for the delivery of allocated conflict management training and the development, maintenance and review of relevant training packages to meet the needs of the Trust's conflict management programme. Additionally, you will implement and monitor education and training programmes relating to authorised training for the trust and external care providers

You will be expected to have specialty knowledge and experience working with challenging behaviour in education or healthcare settings.

Main duties of the job

  • To teach and facilitate learning in the theoretical clinical and practical aspects of keeping safe at work externally and internally on behalf of the Trust. Work with key stakeholders to identify conflict resolution training
  • To reinforce all relevant national and local codes of practice, procedures and policies.
  • To develop and deliver bespoke Conflict Management Training courses that reflect current best practice and as informed by Ward/CMG Training Needs Analyses.
  • Notify the LSMS and the delegates line manager where delegates do not meet the required standards of competence during training events
  • To project manage the Trust agenda for external training and income generating work related to the Conflict Management training programme.
  • To ensure the effective use of all education and training resources and opportunities.
  • Monitor and audit the effectiveness of training and present qualitative and qualitative findings in an agreed format to the LSMS for review
  • Develop and update topic-related pages on the Trust's intranet
  • Act as the Restraint Reduction Network lead for the trust, ensuring legislation requirements are being followed
  • Evaluate training and development outcomes in terms of the transfer of knowledge and skills into the workplace.
  • Maintain attendance registers and other training records and update the conflict management training database.
