We are looking for a Programme Manager who demonstrates that they lead in the right way and who can evidence what they deliver. We will work together as a team across UHL to drive improvements in care and to create an environment in which individuals and teams can excel. The post holder will play a key role in leading the delivery of key projects including leading the delivery of schemes to create capacity for urgent and emergency care, planned care and diagnostics as well as other exciting projects.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will drive the delivery of operational projects and programmes across UHL.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of improvement programmes and deputising for colleagues where necessary
  • Working closely with the Associate Director of Operations, take guidance on delivering the workstreams required within the programme, and articulate and operationalise these requirements working with the leadership teams of both the Clinical Management Groups and across the health system
  • Leadership and management of external contractors and relationships
  • Leadership and responsibility for various other workstreams and projects across UHL and sometimes the system

This role has an emphasis on delivery, performance, and planning. The post holder will support the Clinical Management Groups input and engage in issues needing operational and strategic intervention in relation to the projects they are leading.
