Job summary
The Medical Day Case Unit (Wards 17&19) Leicester General Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our team.
The post holder will carry out nursing interventions and treatments to both specialty and general medical patients, providing them with good quality of living and therapeutic treatments as outpatients
The Medical Day Case Unit operates Monday - Friday, excluding public holidays. This is a permanent position and we do offer flexible working agreements on request.
Main duties of the job
* To be able to manage a case load of patients
* Co-ordinating patient treatment at a time which is convenient to them and in a environment which is both friendly and caring
* To be able to pre assess, administer high cost infusion and plan ongoing treatment
* To be able show initiative and promote the services offered to assist UHL in admission avoidance
* To be able to show initiative and communicate in a creative manner
