United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an exceptional, forward-thinking General Manager to provide strategic, operational and financial leadership across our evolving Patient Service Hub (PSH).
This is a senior leadership role at the heart of our ambition to deliver excellent, safe, patient-centred care. You will play a key part in driving performance, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring that services within the Hub consistently meet national and local standards.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative leader who is passionate about improving patient access, motivating high-performing teams, and shaping the future of elective recovery and patient service operations across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
About the Role
As General Manager, you will:
Lead the strategic and operational direction of the Patient Service Hub, owning the Hub's business plan and delivery of key performance outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement across all workstreams, ensuring the Hub delivers high-quality, efficient and patient-focused services.
Be directly accountable for RTT and Cancer Waiting Times (CWT) performance, elective access policy compliance, and data quality assurance.
Provide strong financial leadership, including oversight of budgets, income and expenditure, CIPs and cost-to-serve improvements.
Lead hub-wide performance, risk and governance frameworks to ensure high standards of quality, safety and compliance (including CQC and IG).
Motivate, develop and support operational teams to deliver excellent patient service, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety.
Build strong relationships with Clinical Business Units, corporate teams and system partners to ensure aligned, integrated and responsive pathways.
Represent the Hub at Trust-wide committees and contribute to strategic initiatives impacting patient flow, access and service transformation.

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
