Job summary
Lincoln County Hospital Emergency Department already employs an amazing team of dedicated Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, Healthcare Support Workers, Reception staff and Housekeepers and an exciting opportunity has arisen for reception staff.
The role of the receptionist is integral to all that we do.
You must be able to greet patients be approachable and empathic to patient needs but also able to work under extreme pressures. The role is a demanding one with telephone calls to answer as well as demands of patients and other staff. The role requires a huge amount of computer working and filing. High standards as well as speed and accuracy are of huge emphasis.
Main duties of the job
- To provide high quality reception services for the Trust and, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and Customer Care, act as a first point of contact assistance to patients, relatives or other members of the public who attend, or make contact by telephone, the Emergency Department.
 - To organise their workload in accordance with the demands of the Department.
 - To co-ordinate daily activities to ensure efficiency of service within the organisation.
 - To exercise initiative.
 - To ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
 - To cover other receptionists' duties when applicable, due to staff shortage/sickness/annual leave.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
