Job summary
Patient administration underpins the patient journey, supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience. Our Medical secretarial team is essential in delivering effective and efficient patient administration. Supporting management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources.
Main duties of the job
- Assists and supports the medical secretaries in providing an efficient medical secretarial service for the clinical team.
- Assists and supports the medical secretaries in achieving targets including CQUINs and validation.
- Provides cover for colleagues in their absence to maintain service levels
- Provides a comprehensive service to the Consultants and their teams and is essential in the provision of a high quality patient experience. The post-holder will support the administration and secretarial teams with their day-to-day duties
- The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player and an experienced typist, and will be required to have GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent. A flexible approach to work is required and an ability to get on with others in a team based environment.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
