Assistant Chef - Band 2

Job summary

The Catering services at Grantham District Hospital are looking to appoint 2 x part Assistant Chefs due to Staff leaving and restructuring within the department.

The job is full time (16 hours per week) normally 8.30 am to 2.30 pm which will also including working alternate weekends.

Flexibility will be required as from time to time these times may alter due to staff Annual leave or other related absences.

The department runs 365 days a year Serving our patients, visitors and staff

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job is preparing, cooking and serving meals for both patients and staff.

You may also sometimes work in the Restaurant cooking / Serving staff meals.

You will be joining a small team of 12 staff ranging from chefs and Catering Assistants working within a Finishing Kitchen unit providing over 100 Patient meals meals a day .
