Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organized, enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide admin support within the access to information department of the Trust. This is a busy role, which requires professionalism and attention to detail. The post holder will need the ability to deal with enquiries with sensitivity and tact. Making sure that all matters are handled in compliance with departmental procedures.

To assist in providing an efficient and effective administrative service to the Access to Information Department of the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

The hours will be as and when required.They are not guaranteed each week although flexible working will be considered.

Main duties of the job

Retrieve, locate and track health records whilst working to set deadlines. Reading requests and patient information to ensure all relevant patient notes are present.

Photocopy, collate and scan health records made in requests in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory obligations. Dispatch the records within the statutory timescales electronically.

Track all requests and maintain accurate records in local databases.

Ensure all requests for medical records are forwarded to the appropriate Healthcare Professional for checking in accordance with department procedures.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.

This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.

The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
