Job summary
This is a paediatric diabetes dietitian post, and offers a great opportunity to work as a pivotal member of the paediatric diabetes MDT at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals (ULTH).
You will provide, with colleagues, dietetic diabetes education at a range of settings which may include community settings.
This will include education to patients, carers and a range of healthcare professionals and will include 1 to 1 and group education.
This will include support and education for people with type 1, type 2 and pregnant women with diabetes and you will attend insulin pump clinics
There is scope to develop the service using on-line resources and remote as well as face to face consultations.
Support and training will be provided as required. The Trust and department are committed to training and development both formal and informal.
Main duties of the job
To provide, with colleagues, a clinical dietetic service for paediatric diabetes within ULTH care.
Providing advice on management, planning and development of dietetic treatment programmes to service users and health professionals, assessing patients nutritional status and requirements, and giving dietary advice/recommendations as required.
