Supporting the delivery of Housekeeping to corporate and ward areas and, where applicable, Linen Services, to the Trust, and leading the Housekeeping team in delivering high quality services to all areas; supporting the delivery of service modernisation and National Initiatives.

Assisting in establishing Hotel Services as having day-to-day "ownership" of the Hospital environment for the Facilities Division.

You will be seen across the site and will be required to carry out your work so that the standards set and the wide range of services provided support patient care and the needs of other hospital users.

The post holder is expected to treat patients, service users and carers with courtesy, care and compassion at all times, treating each person as an individual by offering a personalised service. Trust staff will adopt behaviours and attitudes which promote, supports and respects privacy and dignity in accordance with the Trust Dignity policies and dignity in care pledges. Staff are expected to challenge poor practice in relation to dignity and treat each other with respect.

Main duties of the job

The post of the Housekeeping Section leader is to Support the delivery of Housekeeping and, where applicable, Linen Services, to the Trust, ensuring that hospital Wards, Clinics, Departments and Corridor areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, environmental cleanliness and appearance and leading the Housekeeping team in delivering high quality services to all areas; supporting the delivery of service modernisation and National Initiatives.

We require a Section Leader with ability to use your own initiative and a positive sense of, and approach towards customer care. Flexibility towards the work so as to meet changing needs and priorities at all times is required. You should be of smart appearance and demonstrate good communication skills.
