An exciting opportunity has become available for a Full Time Research Administrative Assistant to join the Research Delivery Team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust based at Lincoln County Hospital.

We are looking for a confident, motivated Administrator who is an excellent communicator with strong relationship building skills. The successful candidate will be a key member of our team and play an important role in supporting the Research Delivery Team in delivering clinical trials to our patients. We are looking for a highly competent, empathic and flexible team player who is not afraid of hard work and supporting colleagues when required.

Main duties of the job

  • General administrative support to all Research Staff.
  • Photocopying, distribution and filing of documents within appropriate research documentation files.
  • Sending and receiving documents for the Research staff.
  • General typing duties including patient letters, patient Information, posters etc.
  • Processing and maintaining research documentation.
  • Recording patient details and entering data on various different electronic systems.
  • Retrieval and tracking of case notes when required.
  • Answering telephone enquiries from patients and professionals including liaising with staff within and outside of the hospital.
  • To maintain adequate levels of general and stationery supplies, re-ordering as necessary
  • Adhere to Trust, Directorate and Departmental Policies including Health, Safety, Fire and Risk Assessment. Willing to embrace opportunities to undertake relevant training and develop skills as required.
  • Involvement in supporting staff with basic lab procedures and the handling of biological samples for transfer to national and international laboratories.

  • oGCSE Grade C or 4 above as minimum in 2 or more subjects, Must include English and Mathematics.

Desirable

  • Recent Typing / IT qualifications (Within the past 8 years)
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate

Previous Experience (Nature and Level)

Essential

  • Microsoft Office knowledge and Google platform user experience (IT Skills).
  • Recent administrative / secretarial experience.
  • Evidence of working within a team.

Desirable

  • Administrative experience within the NHS and/ or experience with a research delivery team.
