Job summary

All of our Radiology departments across the seven hospitals dispersed across Lincolnshire use Digital Imaging at the centre of patient Care.

With the addition of three Community Diagnostics Centres (CDC) we are looking to expand our small team to support the various IT systems, digital modalities and their clinical users and operational workflow across these sites.

Being part of the Diagnostics Systems team you will support users in bridging the gap between ICT and clinical process using cutting edge technologies and give customer support.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Diagnostics Systems and Performance Manager the post holder will provide operational support to the users of the Picture Archive and Communications System (PACS) and the Radiology Information System (CRIS), support the National Breast screening service (NBSS) within Radiology and the wider community via mobile services.

The post holder will undertake daily support under supervision, assist in the digital archiving of Radiology Images and support the daily transfer of digital information as part of inter-hospital transfers using the Image Exchange Portal.

A routine set of daily tasks will be undertaken on a rotational basis, whilst also having some autonomy to address the daily requests for support of the applications we utilise.

Additionally the post holder will support the Diagnostics Systems and Performance Manager in administrating meetings and documenting project work.

The post holders will act as a second line support for the systems within the Clinical Support Services Directorate and the wider trust, calls will be logged as tasks to perform, with clear escalation processes.
