Job summary

Working alongside other Health Roster System Analysts, it is envisaged that this role holder will own the portfolio around the management of data and complex reporting for the department.

Must be highly experienced in the use of Excel, Microsoft and ability to interpret, analyse and manipulate data and reporting.

Understanding of Power BI Dashboards and creation of automated and scheduled reporting would be advantageous.

The Health Roster System Analyst will facilitate day-to-day support to system users, providing training and act as a visible and accessible point of contact for advice, guidance and support on all aspects of HealthRoster & associated systems. [HealthRoster; SafeCare LIVE; Roster Perform; Employee On-Line & Bank Staff.

To manage on a day-to-day basis the administration of the Trust's HealthRoster suite of systems to ensure managers are able to use the systems to their full potential.

Work independently without day to-day supervision, seeking advice and support as appropriate.

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes around the HealthRoster suite of systems.

Main duties of the job

To provide advice on HealthRoster and Temporary Staffing workforce policy and its implementation, suggesting changes to the policy as appropriate.

Input user requests for support on to relevant logs ensuring data is kept current and an audit trail is maintained.

Manage and facilitate specific work programmes as delegated, ensuring that key milestones and outputs are achieved and risks are identified and addressed

Provide data/reports as required by Director of Nursing, Lead Nurses, Ward Managers, Department leads and their deputies.Collect and prepare activity data as required including efficiency indicators on roster production, utilisation of staff and performance of the software.

To lead on analysis and audit of information produced by the HealthRoster Suite of Systems.

Train and support new team members of the team in the sage of the HealthRoster Suite of Systems, HealthRoster policies and procedures, the role of HealthRoster and its function within the Trust.

  • oEducated to degree level or has equivalent knowledge gained through work experience.
  • oHighly experienced 'expert' in the use of the HealthRoster Suite of Applications
  • oHighly experienced in the ability to use a variety of software packages, specifically MS Excel & MS Access.

Desirable

  • oAllocate - Certified Professional Award
  • oAdministration related qualification, NVQ level 4 or equivalent
  • oEuropean Computer Driving Licence [ECDL] or equivalent

Previous Experience

  • oDemonstrable recent experience of working as a Systems Administrator or equivalent and be expert at creating and analysing data, reacting effectively to changing situations, prioritising a high workload.
