Job summary

The post holder will provide a comprehensive reception, administration and clerical support to the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service adhering to OH processes and procedures.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide confidential and a comprehensive OH Reception
  • Greeting patients who access OH service and checking personal information prior to their appointment
  • Ability to deal with internal mail / emails efficiently
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Ordering of clinical and non-clinical equipment
  • Data entry
  • Occasionally may be required to take minutes of OH Staff meetings

  • GCSE Maths or equivalent
  • GCSE English Language or equivalent
  • IT Skills

Desirable

  • ECDL computing qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of OH Administrative procedures and practices
  • RSA Level 1 typing skills or equivalent
  • Relevant experience working within NHS Environment

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Working in a customer facing environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of undertaking a range of administrative duties to include: Diary Management Typing Correspondence
  • Establishing new systems and office procedures (manual and electronic)
  • Familiar with NHS ESR system
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Experience of patient administration

  • Reception experience or recent OH experience
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and databases
