Band 2 Clinical Imaging Assistant FULL TIME - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest Trusts in the country, providing acute services across the county of Lincolnshire. We are seeking a dedicated MRI Clinical Imaging Assistant to work alongside the MRI Radiographers, Radiologists and support staff, to provide high quality MR imaging to the patients of Lincolnshire. You will be working at the main hospital site and eventually at the new Lincoln CDC. The role is very diverse and challenging, and safety is paramount, but you will have the support of your team and colleagues.

We wish to recruit an energetic, well-motivated individual who is able to provide patient care within a technically challenging environment.

Duties will include assisting the Radiographers and clerical staff, and providing assistance to our patients in a caring and empathetic manner.

The MRI service is open from 07:20 to 20:30 hrs daily, 7 days a week. A flexible approach to the working day is essential.

Main duties of the job

Assisting the radiographers to obtain high quality Magnetic resonance Imaging. Assisting patients, and positioning them on the scanner. Handling delicate clinical equipment. helping to organise workloads. Liaising with the wards and booking teams and other healthcare professionals. Cannulation of patients.
