Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge nurse nurses to join the team in the ever developing Same Day Emergency Care service for a 12 month fixed term.

SDEC has evolved from the ambulatory care service, its main aim is to reduce hospital admissions and improve patient safety and satisfaction.

SDEC sees a wide range of patients from UTC, A&E and GP's with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, we aim to streamline the patients journey by delivering assessment, diagnosis and a treatment plan in the same day.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will work within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment making good communication skills a necessity

Due to the nature of the post-extended skills such as IV additives, IV cannulation, Phlebotomy, ECG's are desirable.

The successful candidate will support the B7 Sister in managing the day to day running of the department.

The post holder will work flexibly doing 11.5hr shifts over a 7 day week. Shifts currently run to 2200.
