Our JAG Accredited Endoscopy service at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated Endoscopy Booking Clerks to pro-actively co-ordinate the admission of patients to the Endoscopy unit.
The booking clerk schedules the booking of procedures ensuring that an efficient, timely and patient focused service is provided, whilst ensuring that the clinical needs of patients are met in accordance with the current NHS timeframes.
Main duties of the job
This demanding role will require excellent time management and organisational skills. The successful candidate must be able to prioritise their own workload and will require a flexible approach to their duties. You must have excellent communication skills and be a great team player.
The post holder should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages. The ability to use a range of computer systems to collate information and escalate potential issues and problem areas. A knowledge of Care Flow is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be available.
There is a need to be able to work to tight deadlines and withstand the pressure of a busy department and it is essential that you are able to work on your own initiative.
There may be occasions when there is a need to travel Trust Wide to cover other sites.
We can also support occasional Home Working once the candidate is fully trained.
