An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Business Intelligence to join United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT) reporting directly to the Associate Director of Performance & Information and managing theInformation Systems (Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse) and Data Quality teams.

This role will suit a proactive and energised candidate who is passionate about motivating and developing their teams. The post-holder will perform a bridging role between Operational, Performance, Finance and Information teams to ensure information is reported consistently and reliably from a clear, single source.

This is a key leadership role within ULHT. The Head of Business Intelligence, as an expert in their field, will support the Associate Director of Performance & Information to fulfil their responsibility for ensuringthe strong development and governance of both the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence reporting tools.

As the subject matter expert, the post holder will be required to possess an advanced level of analysis and investigative skills and be proficient in the development and maintenance of the Trust's Data Warehouse.They must also be able to resolve complex analytical queries and issues where there is a range of solutions and analyses. They will also be required to interpret and resolve highly complex statistical and information problems.

Main duties of the job

A principal responsibility is the availability and production of consistently high-quality information, data intelligence and reporting for the Performance & Information teams.

You will drive the organisation's data driven agenda, supporting senior operational and clinical colleagues.

Ensure the Trust has effective systems and processes for accurate and timely reporting against all NHS constitutional, contractual and internal Trust standards. This will include ensuring performance KPIs reflect the key priorities, and challenges, of the Trust including corporate objectives as well as risks identified on the Board Assurance Framework and corporate and divisional risk registers.

Ensure appropriate systems are developed so that Divisional Managing Directors and their teams routinely access the information necessary to support the delivery of agreed performance standards.

Develop a Business Intelligence Strategy with an implementation plan to ensure the organisation has the right systems available to deliver effective patient care.

The post holder will work closely with the Information & Performance leads to promote the ownership and achievement of finance, activity, and quality trajectories across all projects.

The post holder will have advanced technical expertise in Data Warehousing including advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and business intelligence systems such as Power BI and SSRS.
