Asa Quality Matron working in our Trust, you will demonstrate compassionate leadership and take responsibility for ensuring that your professional lead areas are driven across the organisation to improve standards and align to our Trust values.
We would welcome applications from Registered Nurses, Midwives and AHP's.
This is a substantive post although would also be considered as a secondment opportunity.

Main duties of the job
The Quality Matron will provide visible, accessible, effective transformational leadership to wards and departments within their sphere of responsibility, delivering Trust strategic objectives and Matron's 10 Key Responsibilities as set out in 'Modern Matrons - Improving the Patient Experience (DH, 2003)' supplemented by the 'Matrons Handbook' (NHSEI 2019)
Quality Matrons will work with other Matron colleagues, Ward Sisters and Charge Nurses, Senior Nurses and Clinical Leads, Business Managers and other colleagues to identify service and strategy developments which aim to deliver the highest quality of patient care, and maintain patient safety, in line with Trust aims and objectives.
Support the on-going improvement and sustainability of high quality, safe patient care through active involvement in the ward assurance process.
This will be achieved by supporting Ward teams and clinical area Nurse Managers in the development and delivery of their ward assurance achievements and ongoing improvement plans.
The role will require a proactive involvement in the delivery of the organisational Quality Improvement strategy.

- oEducated to Degree level in relevant subject; or can demonstrate experience of working at this level
