Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual who is keen to develop their knowledge and skills to join our friendly and busy Royle Eye Department.

Please note the start date for this post will be after April 1st 2024.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, hardworking and professional focussing on the patient experience and care at all times. You must be able to promote the highest standards of customer care in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It is essential that the successful candidate posses excellent communication skills as you are the first point of contact for patients visiting our department. Candidates must also be able to prioritise their workload and manage their time effectively.

You will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the registered nursing team, to ensure a safe and efficient journey for all our patients.

You will be required to act as a chaperone, support medical staff and patients during procedures, clean equipment, prepare clinic rooms and undertake investigations and scans during clinic.

You will be expected to work within ULHT behavioural framework guidance, staff charter and support he delivery of the Outpatients Improvement Plan and Strategy.

  • English and Maths qualification at GCSE grades A*- E, or Functional Skills Level 1

Desirable

  • Completed apprenticeship in relevant field of practice
  • Successful completion of the Care Certificate
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in a Health Related area or equivalent experience
  • ECDL qualification or equivalent

Previous Experience
