Pilgrim Accident and Emergency Department already employs an amazing team of dedicated Registered Nurses, Healthcare Support Workers, Reception staff, Housekeepers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our team at Band 6 level.

We are expanding our Senior Nursing workforce therefore we are fortunate enough to have both Full and Part time positions available.

Any successful candidate will be expected to work both days and nights over a 7-day working week to ensure consistent leadership and seniority.

Shift times are as follows:

07:30 - 20:00

12:00 - 00:30

16:00 - 04:30

19:30 - 08:00

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible and accountable:o The assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluationof programmes of care without supervision.o Lead and monitor the performance and standards of care within the Nursing Team.o Take the lead on projects as appropriateo In conjunction with the Ward Manager and other Junior Sister/Charge Nurse,facilitating the development of the service and personal development of all nursing staffwithin the clinical area of responsibilityo Deputising for the Ward Manager in their absence, attending appropriate meetings,maintaining an organised and structured workforce

Experience

  • Demonstrates the ability to implement and sustain high standards of individualised, clinically effective, up-to-date evidence-based care on a regular basis.
  • To have a range of experiences in nursing acutely unwell patients
