Pilgrim Hospital Boston, and Grantham Hospitals are looking to recruit Radiographers.
The Radiology department provides a broad range of diagnostic imaging through MRI, CT, general x-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and interventional procedures.
To further improve the service and in line with government directives, the Radiology department has 7 day working as AFC compliant shift system. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will work flexibly across 7 days dependent upon the needs of the service and any developments..
We offer excellent opportunities for career and personal development, with a minimum expectation of red dot training initially. Funding is usually available, where there is a service need for the skills in development. Medical staff are supported with a range of Extended Role Radiographers and Advanced Practitioners. With an enthusiastic and supportive approach to CPD there are many opportunities to further develop knowledge and skills.
The successful candidate will be based at either Pilgrim Hospital Boston or Grantham Hospital.
There may be an ad-hoc requirement to go cover additional sites, therefore the ability to travel between sites is essential. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the 24/7 out of hours service delivery which includes working in the theatre and mobile environments at night and weekends.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to be effective, motivated, be an effective communicator, able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrate organisational skills, and have the ability to work to a high standard, both technically and in patient care.
The successful candidates will be a HCPC registered Radiographer with experience of working/training in the NHS. You must hold the BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR showing a commitment to the out of hours service and a flexible approach to working within the department.
This post would suit a radiographer who is passionate and aspirational to develop professionally and contribute to the continued progression of the Radiology service across Lincolnshire
