This is a truly exciting time to join Grantham Hospital Therapy Services Team as we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, ambitious, and forward-thinking Therapist to Lead the Site Therapy Team. We are seeking a therapist with demonstrable leadership experience, a willingness to learn and passion for improving the lives of people who are supported at Grantham Hospital during admission and discharge processes. This is a new opportunity to lead a team comprising of therapists from both acute and community services. This will include providing therapy leadership to the newly established Rehabilitation ward at Grantham District Hospital.

The post will be hosted by United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust (ULHT). You will be leading the team of therapists that support the inpatient wards, out-patient services at Grantham District Hospital, and teams that out-reach into community settings supporting people in their own homes.

The post will be based at Grantham District Hospital. It is a full time post initially offered on a secondment basis and open to existing employees of ULHT and Lincolnshire Community Hospital Services. The post holder will be required to be available to provide 7-day working provision including being part of the therapy weekend cover rota.

Main duties of the job

You will lead the team in delivering expert quality personalised care aligning to the 'Home First' approach adopted across the Lincolnshire Integrated Health and Care system. Your Leadership role will work in collaboration with colleagues from the Lincolnshire Integrated system including those in acute, community, primary care, third sector and voluntary services in order to achieve excellent collaborated care for people utilising Grantham District Hospital inpatient, outpatient and outreach services.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all staff in your area are up-to-date with their personal development plans and reviews and ensure that staff are complying with policies and protocols, including health & safety and professional competency. You will lead and manage a vibrant and resilient team.

You will manage the service budget, recruitment & retention of staff, appraisal, CPD, disciplinary matters, absence monitoring, sickness, salary & wages, and complaints
