Job summary
We are looking for a JAG accredited Clinical Endoscopist to join our team. You would be expected to travel trust wide to provide a flexible 7 day endoscopy service in upper and / or lower GI undertaking therapeutic work that is within your sphere of competence.
You will also be expected to participate in related nurse led services and audit and research.
Main duties of the job
Provide safe and appropriate upper and/or lower GI endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under local or intravenous sedation, referring on for further tests as appropriate
Work in line with the latest national guidance, according to level of competency
Support and facilitate the training of other endoscopists and endoscopy teams across the trust
Act as a clinical resource for endoscopy and other teams
Undertake training in therapeutics and/or other GI modalities if not already accredited in both upper and lower GI
Participate in nurse led services
Participate in audit and research and the review and development of local protocols and polices

- Master's level study or equivalent level of specialist experience
