Job summary
The Audiology service at ULHT delivers high levels of diagnostic and rehabilitative care to patients across Lincolnshire. We provide a wide range of services including hearing assessments, balance and tinnitus assessments and a full paediatric service.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Chief Audiologist to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Audiology Team based at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. You should have excellent communication skills, be innovative and flexible. You must be a team player with a broad range of experience within Audiology. This is an ideal post for an experienced Audiologist/Clinical Scientist who would like to further develop their leadership, management and advanced clinical skills.
You should hold a BSc or MSc in Audiology or equivalent qualifications and be registered with HPCP or RCCP. You should have a proven record of diagnostic testing and rehabilitation, have a genuine interest in a specialist area of Audiology and management experience.
You will be required to support other areas of Audiology provision as and when the service requires. Excellent interpersonal skills are a prerequisite, you will be expected to manage your time and prioritise demands, whilst working with a wide range of professionals to provide a single Trustwide service.
This is a Trust wide post based at Pilgrim Hospital Boston. The successful applicant will be expected to work across all Trust sites.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties include;
Providing diagnostic service to patients
Clinical supervision of trainees and apprentices
Line management of staff in line with Trust policies.
Participate, encourage and enact service developments
Represent Audiology at Trust, Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings, Regional and National meetings and at training events.
