Grantham Emergency Department is changing to a 24 UTC. We are now becoming a 24 hour Urgent treatment centre.
We are keen to expand our band 6 experienced nurses to cover a 24 hour period.
We are a dynamic team of Doctors, Nurses and HCSWs that see approximately 30,000 patient each year. We expect that will be much more as a 24 hour UTC.
Our clinical educator will support and encourage staff to develop clinically and we offer induction programmes, in-house training and teaching sessions. In addition to this, you will be supported in the clinical environment to develop paediatric skills and level 2 national competencies to ensure competence.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible and accountable:o The assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluationof programmes of care without supervision.o Lead and monitor the performance and standards of care within the Nursing Team.o Take the lead on projects as appropriateo In conjunction with the Ward Manager and other Junior Sister/Charge Nurse,facilitating the development of the service and personal development of all nursing staffwithin the clinical area of responsibilityo Deputising for the Ward Manager in their absence, attending appropriate meetings,maintaining an organised and structured workforce
