Job summary

A fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic Clinical Engineering Department to provide procurement support in purchasing medical equipment and service contracts for medical devices.

Main duties of the job

To be part of a Clinical Engineering team seeking to ensure that new and existing areas of expenditure are submitted to appropriate procurement processes to deliver cash releasing savings opportunities to the trust's directorates.

To undertake projects covering both medical and non-medical commodity areas, achieving the best possible value for money for the Trust(s).

  • Specialist knowledge and experience post-graduate analytical/statistical/ medical technology techniques and procedures, acquired through degree level or equivalent plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience.

Desirable

  • Professional membership of a relevant professional body.

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a Contracts environment.
  • Experience of working on projects with high volumes of data / multi sites.
  • Experience of working within a medical devices management area.
  • Experience of market testing of suppliers and self-delivery.

  • Some experience of operational service delivery, particularly in a Healthcare environment would be beneficial and desirable.
