Job summary

To organise venues, prepare agendas, and arrange and take minutes of meetings with professionals who access the Community Children's Diabetes Service, working in partnership with other agencies.

To work flexibly and to support the Matron and Team Leader to ensure the successful smooth running of the Team by demonstrating sound communication skills, a tactful, empathetic and calm manner.

To produce, manage and maintain databases and keep accurate records.

To provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Community Children's Diabetes Team typing all correspondence ensuring that these are disseminated appropriately.

Responsible for maintaining and logging all referrals and action taken, ensuring all case notes are maintained to Trust standard

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Community Children's Diabetes Team typing all correspondence ensuring that these are disseminated appropriately.

To work flexibly and to support the Matron and Team Leader to ensure the successful smooth running of the Team by demonstrating sound communication skills, a tactful, empathetic and calm manner.

To produce, manage and maintain databases and keep accurate records of statistics and clinical activity data using Excel & Twinkle (training for Twinkle will be provided)

Assist the Matron and Team leader in the provision of data for service audit and other statutory requirements for data collection.

To have a good working knowledge and understanding of the Careflow system specifically relating to the inputting of data for 'Attendances Out Of Clinic'.

To support, communicate and work co-operatively with all colleagues in the Team, respecting their skills, expertise and contributions.

To attend meetings with Matron, Team Leaders and Admin Support colleagues to review and develop standardised service data systems across the County.

To maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the Intranet, ULHT emailing systems & the ULHT RAPA Alert system (training will be provided).

To assist in the production of leaflets, information sheets and posters to assist in the promotion of the service.

  • GCSE Mathematics and English, Grade 9-4 or equivalent
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, Text Production and Word Processing
  • Functional Skills Level 1

Desirable

  • OCR (RSA level 2), ECDL, CLAIT or equivalent or willingness to undertake.

Experience
