Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist within Acute Medicine and Therapy at the Front Door (37.5 Hours a week) 2 posts available

This is a new rotational post rotating within the established Acute Medicine team and the newly established Therapy at the Front Door team.

Please note, this role can be based at the Pilgrim hospital site.

You will become part of a wider Physiotherapy team that has a strong track record of high achievement.

Access to identified training, supervision, CPD time is guaranteed.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of Physiotherapy to patients whist on the rotations of the Acute Medical and Therapy at the Front Door teams.

To perform more advance and detailed assessments with patients presenting with more diverse and complex conditions, providing an individualised treatment programme. You will be expected to liaise closely with colleagues in the MDT.

To hold own caseload working without direct supervision. To act in a leadership role to the assistant staff in the area.

Supervision to take the form of regular training and peer review.

Carry out all work as an autonomous practitioner maintaining records as such.

Supervision, education and assessment of the performance of Junior Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, and Physiotherapy students to a graduate level, liaising with universities as required.

Undertake evidence based audit and research projects to further own and teams clinical practice. Make recommendations to Senior staff.

The post-holder will also work as part of a respiratory 7-day. Be an active member of the evening respiratory on-call rota.
