Clinical Support Worker

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated person to join the Neonatal Department as a Clinical Support Worker providing support to the Nursing team caring for sick and premature infants. The successful applicant will work closely with the Clinical and Nursing Teams to ensure safe and effective care throughout admission to discharge. The CSW role will support family integrated care within the service and support families learning to care for their babies.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for supporting the registered nurse or other professional in the delivery of direct patient care and procedures. They will work within defined parameters to undertake clinical care, technical and clerical duties, informing their supervisor of duties undertaken, and the outcome of these. The successful applicant will be required to complete a training programme and continue to demonstrate skills proficiently.
