Job summary
This post is for a Specialist Grade doctor in Medical Oncology specialising in gynaecological, colorectal and neuroendocrine cancers is part of the cancer team working across East Yorkshire, North-East Lincolnshire and Goole.
It is anticipated that the post will be based within the Queen's Centre with additional responsibility for caring for patients at Scarborough Hospital and North Lincolnshire Hospital Trust. For work in a peripheral clinic, travelling time is included within the job plan.
Main duties of the job
The applicant must have a high level of experience and expertise in the management of breast and urology cancers and should be able to demonstrate expertise in oncology at a level consistent with independent practice as a specialist grade. An interest in research and teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates is an advantage. The applicant should have good communication skills, be willing to attend MDT meetings and work effectively as part of a team.
